Rong Chen: rc625@drexel.edu

Hello!! My name is Rong Chen, I was born on March 10, 1994 in China. I lived in the U.S for approximately 9 years, and I am a citizen now. I am a freshman in Drexel university, which major in Bio-medical engineering. The reason why I picked this major was because a project I did in high school inspired me. That project was about how a group of bio-medical students make something incredible from biology organism. What they have done deeply impacted and since then, I started to like bio-medical. I also picked Drexel university not only because it has co-op programs that can help me getting more experiences, it is an awesome school when I visited there during high school. I am also very exciting about our engineering project, which is about bio-medical. Through this lab, I'll definitely learn more than I think!

Lananh Ho: l543@drexel.edu

My name is Lananh Ho. I am a freshman in Biomedical Engineering at Drexel University. I am doing the 5 year option for undergraduate, and I hope to get accepted to the BS/MS program for my major. I am from Vietnam, a small country in Southeast Asia, and I have been living in the U.S. for almost 4 years. I came to America because I believe the American education, as well as Drexel’s educational programs, is the best for my major. The reason I chose to be a biomedical engineering student is that I love math and all the sciences, so I want to do something with all of these subjects, as well as something that is related to medical field. Because my last two engineering courses have amazed me and brought me so many new skills and knowledge in different projects, I hope to gain much more in this design project since my group and I get to create things related to our majors that are based on our own ideas!

Jin Li: jl3453@drexel.edu

Hello, everyone! I am Jin Li, a freshman here at Drexel University. I am currently pursuing a bachelor degree in biomedical engineering. I am from China, and I have been living in the U.S. for 2 years. When I realized that the major studied in college will influence what I do for the rest of my life, not just determine my final career, I long for a major that truly interests me. The reason why I chose to study biomed was that it brings the two hottest fields of medicine and engineering together. In my spare time, I enjoy rowing, photographing, and cooking.

Pratim Mazumder: pm588@drexel.edu

I am Pratim Mazumder and I am a freshman Materials Science and Engineering major at this school. I was born in Kolkata, India, moved to New York City when I was 5, and then to Fairfax, Virginia when I was 12.  In my free time, I like to play video games, watch anime, or sometimes play my violin. The reason I came to Drexel is that I generally perfer the city life, due to it being fast paced and busy. I chose to major in Materials Science because it is a very broad field and I was interested in many aspects of science. Materials Science lets me experience many different areas and choose which one I prefer in just one major.

Angela Tomita: amt353@drexel.edu

I'm Angela, a Biomedical Engineering freshman from southern California!  When I was exploring the various majors offered by different colleges, Biomedical Engineering caught my attention because it's an amalgamation of my top 2 interests: math and biology.  I'm on the Drexel Spirit Squad and I'm also currently active in Drexel EMS, AMSA, SWE, and Red Cross.  On my free time, I hit the gym, learn languages, and listen to classical music.  In terms of languages, I am fluent in Chinese and French, and I'm studying Greek, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, and German.

Beverly Tomita: bet28@drexel.edu

Hi! My name is Beverly, and I am a biomedical engineering freshman here at Drexel University! I chose to study biomed because it is the perfect combination of my two favorite subjects: biology and math (especially calculus, algebra, and geometry). Coming from Orange County, Southern California, I am enjoying real seasons for the first time. Everything about college life here is great - from the great faculty to the mesmerizing snow. Lastly, I am a member of the Dance Team - I love being spirited! Go Drexel Dragons!
